Treeton’s CCTV In Action

We recently received a request from a parishioner asking how our CCTV is being used including the number of incidents they have helped to address and we thought this might be of interest to many other residents.

Rotherham MBC confirm that CCTV footage has played an important role in supporting investigations into a wide range of crime and anti-social behaviour, assisting on 32 separate occasions.

In addition, during recent periods of heavy rainfall, the CCTV system on Treeton Lane was used by RMBC Highways Services to monitor water levels and to help guide responses to potential flood risks.

We hope this information goes some way towards answering the questions that have been raised and provides reassurance on how CCTV is being used to support community safety and wellbeing.
