The Reading Room

The newly refurbished Reading Room in the heart of Treeton is available to hire for meetings, community activities, small events, and private gatherings. This welcoming space has long been part of village life and, following its refurbishment, continues to provide a comfortable and practical venue for residents, groups, and organisations.

Whether you are planning a community meeting, club session, training workshop, small celebration, or social gathering, the Reading Room offers a flexible and convenient space within the village. The venue also includes access to kitchen facilities, making it ideal for events where refreshments are required.

Hire Charges

The Reading Room is available at the following rates:

  • Up to 2 hours: £40
  • Up to 4 hours: £60
  • Full day hire: £80

These prices include use of the kitchen facilities. Reduced or negotiated rates may be available for regular bookings or community groups, please contact the Clerk to discuss your requirements.

Key Deposit

A £50 refundable key deposit is required for all bookings. This deposit will be returned after the event once the key has been returned and the venue has been checked. The deposit may be retained if necessary to cover any damage, loss of property, or additional cleaning required following use of the venue.
