Community Grants and Donations

Treeton Parish Council is committed to supporting local community groups, schools, charities, and voluntary organisations that make a positive difference in our village. We offer donations and grants to help groups deliver valuable services, projects, and activities for residents of Treeton.

Whether you are running a local event, setting up a new initiative, or need support to purchase equipment, we encourage eligible organisations to apply.

Donations

We can support local community groups with donations of up to £200.

Who Can Apply & What Donations Can Be Used For

Eligible organisations: Community groups, local schools, or voluntary/charitable organisations with a constitution, a bank account in the organisation’s name, and safeguarding policies if working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults.

What we don’t fund: Private businesses, discriminatory or political organisations, individuals, schools funded for core curriculum or building works, or costs already covered or incurred before approval.

How to apply:

Send a short letter or email to clerk@treetonparishcouncil.gov.uk with the amount requested and what it will be used for. We may ask for a copy of your constitution or a recent bank statement.

We usually provide one donation per organisation per financial year, and may ask for evidence showing how it benefited your group and the wider community.

Grants

Treeton Parish Council also offers grants of up to £1,000, with larger amounts considered only in exceptional circumstances. Grants aim to support projects, equipment purchases, events, and initiatives that benefit the local community.

Who Can Apply & What Grants Can Be Used For

Eligible organisations: Community, voluntary, charitable, or local school groups with a governing document, a management committee, a bank account, and safeguarding/equal opportunities policies. Projects should benefit local communities or specific groups and have clear community support.

What we don’t fund: Private businesses, discriminatory or political organisations, individuals, costs already funded elsewhere, loans, or general running costs.

Grants can be used for: New projects, community initiatives, forums, equipment or capital items, events, training, and capacity-building activities.

Organisations working with vulnerable children or adults should indicate if they have the support of Adult Social Care or Children’s Services at RMBC.
