Councillor Rachel Rowbottom

Vice Chair

I have lived in Treeton for over 20 years and both of my children, who are now adults, attended Treeton Primary School.

My family and I have always been community minded and actively involved in village life. This has included helping organise the Treeton Santa initiative during the COVID lockdown and supporting efforts to provide free meals for children during school holidays.

I worked for Santander for more than 30 years in a range of roles including Project Management and within the Risk Team, supporting compliance with banking and employment regulations.

I now own and run Treeton News and the village Post Office, where I am a familiar face to both long standing residents and those who have moved to the newer estates. As village Postmaster, I speak with people from across the community every day and have a well rounded understanding of the needs, concerns and priorities of local residents.
