Councillor Karen Parry
I moved to Treeton in 2022 from Norfolk. My husband and I are both doctors and trained in part at The Northern General, where we fell in love with South Yorkshire. I am now retired due to increasing disability from rheumatoid arthritis.
I spent 38 years in the NHS, most of which involved seeing patients at home, while also working closely with social services, care homes, and the police. I was also actively involved in the British Medical Association throughout my career.
I have four adult children, one of whom lives in Sheffield with his wife and son. I am actively involved with Arthritis UK Sheffield and help organise their monthly meetings
I became a councillor to connect with people in the village and to contribute wherever I can, offering practical support to strengthen our community.
